Together with the Free State Department of Education, KST awarded top performing schools with infrastructure on 30 September 2016. The infrastructure launch, which was hosted by Free State Education MEC Tate Makgoe, representatives of KST, and relevant stakeholders, saw nine schools receiving infrastructure – from classrooms, media centres and libraries, to Grade R classrooms.
Infrastructure launches were undertaken in Botshabelo and Thaba Nchu where Grade R classrooms and further infrastructure facilities were unveiled at Phano Primary, Ditholwana Primary, Refentse Primary and Nteboheng Primary School. Seemahale Secondary, Lenyora La Thuto Secondary and Phetogane Secondary schools received media centres, while Mabela Primary School received a library and Lefikeng Secondary School four classrooms and a staff room.
KST Operations Manager Kaya Nyati said: “Education is a priority and we need to ensure that we make the learning environment friendly and accessible for both teachers and learners. This infrastructure will be of good use, not only for learners, but for educators too, as it will assist them in their quest of educating our children in conducive learning environments.”
KST continues to celebrate its partnership with the Free State Department of Education as the relationship proves that through collaboration quality results can be achieved.
