Students who excelled academically and personified outstanding leadership skills and social commitment, were celebrated at Cyril Ramaphosa Education Trust’s (CRET) Student Awards. It was hosted at the Foundation Chair’s farm in Bela Bela on 6 July.
CRET’s bursary programme not only facilitates academic access, but also contributes to all-round youth development. In addition to funding, the programme offers mentorship, leadership development and holiday programmes. This year, 22 CRET graduates from 2018 were recognised for outstanding achievements.
The awards form part of CRET’s annual vacation programme where students are exposed to team‐building and personal development activities and a supportive and cohesive family like environment.
Alumni attend the vacation programme every two years as part of the students and alumni reunion weekend.
