On 17 April President Cyril Ramaphosa officiated the handover of three new primary schools, namely Enhlanhleni, Lembe and Ingweni Phaphama, respectively located in Dannhauser, Utrecht and Vryheid in the Amajuba and Zululand District municipalities, KwaZulu-Natal. The handing over ceremony was conducted at Enhlanhleni Primary School.
The schools were built under the Department of Basic Education’s Accelerated School Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI) in partnership with Adopt-A-School Foundation.
The objective of this programme is to eradicate schools without water, sanitation and electricity and to replace schools constructed from inappropriate material.
